ITALIAN CINEMA NET – THE ITALIAN CINEMA ROAD SHOW CONTINUES IN THE US

On October 11, Italian cinema will make a stop in Miami, continuing its road show in the United States.

After a visit to New York at the beginning of the year, where the top brass of the Italian audiovisual industry presented Made in Italy cinema initiatives and projects to reporters and stakeholders, this time the city is Miami, with the project Italian Cinema Net, where the ICE Agency (the Italian Trade and Investment Agency) and ANICA (the National Association of Cinematographic, Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries), represented by ICE audiovisual desk coordinator and head of ANICA’s international department Roberto Stabile, met with industry professionals and members of the economy and institutions.

The Italian Cinema Net event was organized by the ICE Agency on the occasion of the concurrent 17th edition of the Festival del Cinema Italy, a festival produced and directed by Claudio di Persia, being held in Miami on October 11-15 at the Regal Cinema South Beach.

Welcoming attendants to the Italian Cinema Net event is the Console General of Italy in Miami Cristiano Musillo.

Cinema is life, beauty, culture,” states the Console General of Italy in Miami Cristiano Musillo.

We are happy, this year once again, to be able to share with the Miami audience the extraordinary qualities of contemporary Italian cinema: an obsessive attention to detail; a know-how that combines tradition and innovation; and the Italian way of life. ‘Making films,’” Musillo continues, “is a difficult job, but above all it is a passion, a passion that we continue to share with the ‘Italy team.’ I’d like to thank ICE, Cinema Italy, the Chamber of Commerce and the Dante Alighieri Society, along with the exceptional partners, Miami-Dade County and the City of Miami Beach, for joining us on this wonderful journey. Enjoy!” concluded Console General Musillo.

Miami has increasingly been one of the trendsetting cities in the United States,” states Roberto Stabile, ICE audiovisual desk coordinator and head of ANICA’s international department. “In recent years, it has grown exponentially and therefore we are glad to be able to meet with industry professionals who see in Italian cinema an opportunity for development and investment.

We are already scheduling,” Stabile continues, “a series of initiatives for 2020 dedicated to the United States, whose objective is to strengthen a historic bond that exists between our cinema and the cinema of the Stars and Stripes.

ICE Agency and the general direction for cinema of the Ministry of Culture invest significant resources and expertise every year to make the Italian audiovisual industry increasingly competitive and international,” Roberto Stabile concludes.
